Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to Safari & Accommodations bookings with Daydream Adventure Safaris Limited. 

By sending a booking request, you confirm to have read these booking terms and agree to be bound thereto.

Daydream Adventure Safaris only accepts bookings in writing via email, booking request through Telephone, WhatsApp, Skype, or any other means of communication are not accepted.

A booking is only confirmed when Daydream Adventure Safaris has sent a written/email confirmation.

Booking.

A deposit of 50% of the accommodation cost should be paid for any booking made not later than 30 days before the safari date.

For peak-season bookings, 100% of the accommodation cost is due 2-3 months before the safari date.

If 100% of the accommodation cost is paid, you will receive a confirmation voucher confirming your accommodations have been booked.

Booking can only be confirmed when a deposit is placed, and a booking confirmation email is written/sent.

Rates & Prices.

All published rates include VAT and all expenses as outlined in the Itinerary.

Deposit and Payment Terms.

All applicable bank charges are for your expenses, and Daydream Safaris is entitled to set due amounts with any amount received from, or held on behalf of you, on whatever grounds.

Applicable bank charges:

Online payment via a link – 3.8% of the payment made will apply.

PDQ machine – 3.5% of the payment made will apply

All safari costs must be fully paid before the commencement of the Safari.

Accommodations and Tour in General.

Daydream Safaris shall confirm hotel/Lodge availability upon requesting a safari Quote, only after sending the Final Operating Itinerary.

Cancellation Policy.

In Case a booking is canceled, the following cancellation fees apply.

No Show          100%.

1-7 days           75%.

1–14 days         50%.

Above 14 days, 25%.

Liability.

The company’s liability to passengers carried in vehicles for transfer, excursions, and tours is governed by the law of Kenya, and all claims are subject to the courts of Kenya. Whilst every care is taken, the company shall not be held liable for loss or damage to personal property, and clients are advised to arrange/relevant insurance. The company has a safe deposit, and clients are advised to deposit their valuables so that they do not suffer any loss.

 Sub-contract.

The company reserves the right to subcontract any part or the full safari, and in the event of such sub-contracts, all the above terms shall apply.

Included in the Tour Cost.

• Transport as specified in the Final Operating Itinerary (FOI)
• Accommodations as Specified in the (FOI)
• Flights as Specified in the (FOI).
• All Government Taxes, Hotel service charges, and Airport Services as specified in the (FOI).
• Sightseeing and game drives as specified in the (FOI).

Excluded from Tour Cost.

• International Flights and Airport Tax, unless specifically indicated in the FOI.
• Visa fees, all Items of a personal nature, i.e., drinks, laundry, communication costs, etc., unless specifically indicated in the FOI.
• Supplementary Charges are imposed by the hotel from time to time.

Client’s Insurance and Responsibilities.

Daydream Safaris’ best advice is that every client should take adequate insurance protection against personal accidents, medical expenses, loss or damage of property, and emergencies.

All clients should ensure their travel documents are in order.

Daydream Safaris will not be Responsible or Liable if the client fails to take adequate insurance coverage.

Laws of the Land.

All matters concerning the above shall be subject to the laws of the Republic of Kenya. The clients submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts, which shall be the sole forum for the hearing of any claims.
